The American Airline DC-10 jet was roaring into the sky over O’Hare International Airport when it’s left engine fell off. Flight 191 was bound for the Los Angeles at the beginning of the Memorial Day weekend. The plane burst into a pillar of flame and smoke could be seen from 8 miles, reported the Tribune. Abe Marmel, a nearby resident, had been working in his garden when he heard the exploding noise. He described the scene as the rain of fire falling off the sky. All 271 passengers including the cabin crew and two people on the ground died. The death toll could have gone up had it hit a trailer park north of the airport. Although the mishap was out of human error, numerologists have had a field day trying to decipher the hidden meaning behind the numbers.
