The Pakistani Cricket hero is remembered for his last ball big sixer against India winning the the1986 World Cup trophy. He is one of three Pakistani players framed in the Hall of Fame. Wisden Cricketer Almanac titled him as the ‘Cricketer of the Year’ in 1982. ESPN legend of Cricket titled him as the 44th ‘best player’ of all time. Miandad is noted for his wizardry on the ground. He is the youngest player scoring 9 consecutive half-centuries in One Day International. At the age of 35, he broke George Headley’s record of the youngest player to have hit a double century. Besides Sachin Tendulkar, Javed Miandad appeared in 6 World Cup tournaments. Miandad scored 1083 runs and played 33 matches in the 6 tournaments. He is the pride of Pakistan.
