Hagia Sophia (Istanbul, Turkey)
Hagia Sophia is an architectural beauty and an important landmark of Turkey. It was once a church, later a mosque, and now a museum in Istanbul. We can see the perfect union of Ottoman and Byzantium regimes under one great dome. It has rich mosaics, marbles and marvelous coverings. This building has changed the history of architecture. The three mausoleums of sultans, the church’s baptistery, and the excavated remains of Theodosius’ Hagia Sophia are the other interesting things to see outside the museum.
