7 most haunted places of the world
Mary King’s close-Edinburgh, Scotland
This 7th-century Street is considered to be the most haunted area of Edinburgh. During the outbreak of the plague in 1645, people living there suffered torturous deaths. Numerous ghostly sightings have been reported by visitors including the ghost of a little girl nicknamed Annie who is sad because she lost her favorite toy when she was abandoned by her family as she was victimized by plague. Countless visitors have left toys for her and a room is particularly named after her. Other activity includes phantom footsteps going up and down the empty streets and people have also seen a ghost of a lady wearing black and grey dress. That is thought to be the ghost of Mary-Alexandra king’s daughter. Witnesses have seen masculine figures in the close that just disappears when approached. In one chimney strange noises are heard too. When people put their hands inside, they are sometimes scratched.
