Maximum Speed: 351 mph or 305 knots at 15,000 feet

The V-22 Osprey is a fancy military aircraft that’s really special because it can take off and land like a helicopter but fly long distances and super fast like a regular airplane.

It runs on two powerful engines made by Rolls-Royce, each with 6,150 horsepower. This helicopter can zoom up to 351 miles per hour at a high altitude and cruise comfortably at 306.1 miles per hour.

It’s as fast as big transport planes like the Lockheed C-130 and way faster than normal helicopters.

The V-22 Osprey can tilt its engines up to 80 degrees to lift off quickly and fly high and fast. It’s even cool because it has smart controls that let it hover in the air without the pilot having to steer it all the time, even in light winds.
